(Mid America Dirt Figure Eight Auto Racing Series) Racing Season. I have also done each track separately under the main list in alphabetically order that way if you are just wanting a certain track schedule you can have that also. I don't have all the tracks listed yet. I'm still waiting for some information on some. So if you see a figure 8 track that is not listed and you have information about it feel free to email me with a contact or information on it and I'll get it posted right away. I'm here to please you the drivers and the fans any way I can.

    Registration fee $30 per car, includes car & driver

    Pit Passes: $10.00

    Grandstand Admission: $5.00 

    Registrations start at 5:00 p.m.

    MUST BE REGISTERED BY 6:30 P.M.

    Drivers Meeting 6:50 p.m.

    Race Start Time 7:00 p.m.

    The ONLY Powder Puff race that will be held this year will be on August 2nd following the A Main Feature Races.

    NO CAR DEPOSIT FEES

    CARS REGISTERED AFTER 6:30 P.M. MAY BE CHARGED A $25 LATE REGISTRATION FEE.

    CARS WILL BE SPLIT BETWEEN FRONT WHEEL DRIVE AND REAR WHEEL DRIVE.

     CAR REGULATIONS

    1. No pickups or hearses allowed.
    2. No fender or fenderwells may be removed.
    3. Seat belts and helmets are required.
    4. Gas tank should remain in orginal position. If the gas tank is moved from the orginal position, it must be secured. Keep only a few gallons of gas in car at all times. No plastic gas tanks.
    5. Radiator must remain in original postition, and must be used.
    6. ALL GLASS MUST BE REMOVED BEFORE ARRIVAL AT TRACK!!!
    7. All cars must have their brakes in good working order.
    8. Suspension must remain at standard height with NO spacers, stops, blocks, or reversed spring shackles used to raise or lower automobile. NO clamping springs.
    9. The hood of your car must be chained and/or welded shut. The hood must have holes cut out to allow access in case of a fire.
    10. Battery may be moved but must be securely fastened and covered.
    11. No added weights, sand, etc. will be allowed to be added to actual weight of the car.
    12. Standard car tires must be used (mud and snow tires are okay).
    13. No reinforcement of frames or front end is allowed.
    14. No tying down of car body to frame, or any other reinforcement of car body.
    15. For your safety and the safety of others, clean out the inside of your cars!!!
    16. Your number must be mounted on the roof of your car. A 12" x 12" sign with numbers visible for spotters. (WHITE BACKGROUND WITH BLACK NUMBERS)
    17. NO PROFANITY PERMITTED ON CARS!!! We reserve the right to block out any offensive wording or numbers at your expense.
    18. Passengers are not allowed on the race car at any time. No riders in the pits.

    DRIVER'S REGULATIONS

    1. You must be 18 years of age to operate vehicle.
    2. The driver is the only person allowed in a car during the heat.
    3. Any driver who drives his car over the boundary is automatically disqualifed.
    4. All drivers must remain in their car until the announcer has officially declared the heat over, except in the case of a fire.
    5. No hitting on the opponent's driver side door.
    6. No alcohol allowed. COOLERS WILL BE CHECKED AND CAN BE HELD BEFORE AND DURING COMPETION. BE RESPONSIBLE --DON'T DRINK AND DRIVE!!!
    7. THE JUDGE'S DECISION IS FINAL.
    8. Car must be removed by 12 Noon the next day.

    They are running pretty much the same rules as Coon Rapids runs for there figure 8 races. Gates Open at 5:00 p.m. Racing at 7:00 p.m.

    Crawford County Speedway Figure 8 Rules
    • All drivers must be 16 years of age and have a valid drivers license to participate.
    • Any driver under 18 years of age must have written parental notarized before they are allowed to participate.
    • The pit area will be restricted to participants only.
    • No children under the age of 14 will be allowed.
    • Any fighting or drinking in the pit area will subject the offender, and the car he or she is associated with to suspension depending on the seriousness of the incident and the decision of the official. The driver/owner of every car is responsible for his/her pit crew and their conduct. This includes fans and family in the grandstand.
    • Absolutely no one is allowed in the scorer's booth other than officials.
    • No driver may get out of his car on the track to argue or discuss a situation with the flagman or official. Violation of this rule will result in disqualification.
    • The racing officials will resolve any disagreement over the technical question so operation. When their decision is rendered, such decision is final and binding. Official will determine all finishing positions and their decisions will be final and binding.

    Before Entering Grounds
    All Glass Must Be Removed

    • All chrome or plastic trim & molding must be removed, including plastic grills, taillights & parking lights.
    • Absolutely no profane words or suggestive pictures allowed on cars, this is a family type of entertainment.
    • All cars must have 10 - 12 inch or higher cut in roof vent with your number painted on both sides (or something similar in nature)
    • No three-digit numbers allowed.

      Safety Rules

    • All drivers must wear helmet (No Bicycle Helmets) and seatbelt: Shoulder Harnesses Are Required To Prevent Facial & Chest Injuries)
    • The driver's door may have support for the driver's protection. Suggest using foam padding from seat on the inside of driver's door.
    • Door's must be chained, wired or welded shut.
    • No alcoholic beverages allowed in the pits until the evening events have been concluded.

      . Cars and station wagons only. NO 1966 or older T-Birds, Lincolns or Imperials.
      2.
      Suspensions must remain at standard height with no spacers, stops or blocks or reversed shackles used to raise or lower cars, torsion bars may not be adjusted to raise or lower car. Shocks may NOT be welded, strapped or blocked from functioning. Spring leaves may not be welded and no more than 4 bands or original size allowed on each spring. Rear springs and rear end may NOT be tied to frame. Locked rear-end optional.
      3.
      Fender may be cut out to the diameter of tires. Bumper ends may not be cut. Bumper shocks may be welded NO BULL WORK
      4.
      Trunk must be empty - no added ballast. No trunk pins can be connected to the frame. No wires, straps or chained from the trunk lid to the floor. Steel straps used to weld the trunk shut may not exceed 2" wide x 1/4" thick x 12" long and you are allowed two. This also applies to station wagon's tailgates. NO BULLWORK.
      5.
      All cars must have a hood, must  be securely fastened down and must have holes cut for fire extinguisher access. No hood pins can be connected to the frame. NO BULLWORK.
      6.
      If wiring or chaining hoods or trunks, use no larger than #9 wire or equivalent size chain (This means dog chains, not log chains) and use no more than three stands on hood, and three stands on trunk. NO BULL WORK
      7.
      If welding hoods, trunks or doors, welds may be no longer than 4" and must be spaced one foot apart. Driver's door may be welded solid.
      8.
      It is mandatory to have your trunk lid chained down with one loosed loop of chain to prevent your trunk from being popped open and preventing you from seeing behind you.
      9.
      If using wire in windows openings, use no larger than #9 wire, and no more than three strands in each openings. No wire allowed in front door windows, left or right.
      10.
      Radiator must remain in front of engine and must be used. Radiator support must remain original. NO BULLWORK. No Auxiliary Coolers.
      11.
      Battery may be removed to inner car area but must be fastened securely and covered. No more than two regular automotive batteries or one car battery.
      12. Gas tanks may be removed to inner car area but must remain behind the front seat and must be
      fastened securely and covered.
      13.
      Tires must be D.O.T. passenger car 4-ply/load range B tires only. NO load range C or above. No ply 6 or above. Any tires with markings ground off are illegal. Nothing in tires but air.
      14. Advertising on your car is welcome but make sure your number is BRIGHT and BIG
      on both sides and on the roof of your car IF not, and you get scored wrong, it will be your fault.
      15.
      All cars must pass inspection before the event starts. Tech inspector has the right to refuse any car.
      16.
      Rollover bar and driver door protection highly recommended for figure 8.
      17.
      No grader blades sticking out of or above door or sides of vehicle.
      18.
      Must have 18" high number on roof of car.
      19.
      Will allow trans coolers
      20. Absolutley no glass anywhere and all outside trim off of cars.

    • Drivers Meeting At The Judges Stand 30 Minutes Prior To The Races, All Must Attend. No Exceptions. Allow Plenty Of Time For Arrival Through Traffic.
